I was so thrilled to bump into one of my favorite actresses of my generation twice at Sundance 2010. From her first moment onscreen in 'Dazed And Confused', I was captivated by her iconic presence. And her role in 'Josie And The Pussycats' took it to another level.

While I would gladly pay Parker to ruthlessly verbally berate me, it's actually much nicer to get a smile and a wave!

RIP Robert Redford

All of a sudden, there he was. The man, the myth, the legend himself.

It was my first and only trip to this magical festival, and I had no idea what I was doing.
Maybe it was the elevation up in the Utah mountains, the air and the light is so much cleaner up there, but never before, nor since, did any of my photos have this beautiful sun ray effect, the sun "dancing" into my lens, producing a heavenly glow. 

I remember how starstruck I was, being only less than a year into this job, I had never shot a celebrity of this caliber before. This festival, named after his most famous character, was all started this man, and had transformed the entire industry.

I had an amazing time and took soooo many pictures.

 

There was none of the usual disdain for paparazzi I would often encounter in Los Angeles. Everyone was there to promote their films, so most celebrities were fine with being photographed. It's such a small place, and most of the action happened right there on Main Street.

Happy Birthday Michelle Williams!

These were exclusive pics when I happened to catch Michelle Williams on the street at Sundance Film Festival in 2010, where she was promoting 'Blue Valentine'. Her performance in which would earn Michelle her first Oscar nomination. 

Michelle posed for me as a return favor for a specific reason I cannot disclose, or it would negate the karma I earned that day. I was grateful to get these shots because it's almost impossible to get an exclusive at Sundance with all of the cameras everywhere. Of course dozens of other photographers got her all up and down this same street that same day, but these were the best shots I got of her that week.
