All of a sudden, there he was. The man, the myth, the legend himself.

It was my first and only trip to this magical festival, and I had no idea what I was doing.
Maybe it was the elevation up in the Utah mountains, the air and the light is so much cleaner up there, but never before, nor since, did any of my photos have this beautiful sun ray effect, the sun "dancing" into my lens, producing a heavenly glow. 

I remember how starstruck I was, being only less than a year into this job, I had never shot a celebrity of this caliber before. This festival, named after his most famous character, was all started this man, and had transformed the entire industry.

I had an amazing time and took soooo many pictures.

 

There was none of the usual disdain for paparazzi I would often encounter in Los Angeles. Everyone was there to promote their films, so most celebrities were fine with being photographed. It's such a small place, and most of the action happened right there on Main Street.
