I posted a couple of photos from this event before, but here are some more. 

Mel was receiving this honor for the 40th Anniversary of 'Young Frankenstein'. 

In the future people are going to assume these photos are AI, can you spot why?  

 

In classic form, Mel pulled a prank on the Chinese Theatre and for all of his fans who will visit the theater and put their hands into Mel's hand prints... 

Have you noticed it yet? 

Mel had an extra finger attached by a makeup effects artist, so that his hand prints will continue to surprise fans and get laughs for the rest of time.

Happy Birthday Dame Helen Mirren! 

Dame Helen Mirren was honored with a hand/footprint ceremony at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, CA. 3/28/11
 

It was cool to be there for the day Dame Helen Mirren was honored with a hand print ceremony, but does anyone else agree that it's weird the way she made the hand prints upside down, palms up, thumbs out? People go there to put their hands into the hand prints, which now requires everyone to twist their arms the same way to match her pose. I'm pretty sure everyone else does fingers up, thumbs in. Am I wrong?

Dame Helen Mirren was also super nice when spotted in the wild. She showed up at LAX in leather pants, pushing her own suitcases without any help from celebrity greeters, which is almost unheard of behavior for celebrities.
