Happy Birthday Ty Burrell!

In honor of Ty's birthday, it seemed like a good time to revisit one of the most fun film premieres I ever got to cover back in 2014. I know it's not the original puppets or puppeteers, but seeing the actual Muppets "alive" on the red carpet was more exciting than half of the events I ever shot. 

 

Kermit The Frog and Miss Piggy arrived in their own SUV limo. There were speakers in the cars, so we were actually interacting with them. It was surreal.

Rowlf was driving the car with Fozzie riding shotgun, and more muppets, Gonzo, Scooter, and Animal, popping up out of the sunroof.

I love the time capsule nature of celebrity event photos, because your job is to capture the zeitgeist of culture, which is fleeting and ever changing.

 

Just never forget that Disney invited a secret pedo to their Muppets red carpet!
